Sufe Bradshaw is known for her role as Sue Wilson on Veep, but what do we really know about the actress? There are so many who present one face for the camera and are nothing like the characters that they portray. In the same regard, some actors seem to put a little piece of themselves into every role that they play. Those of us who have become fans of this lovely young lady would like to know more, so here are five things you didn’t know about Sufe Bradshaw.
Sufe is one of eight children
She grew up in a large family. Her father is of Ghanian ancestry and her father, Sicilian. Growing up in such a large family meant that she had to pull her share of the load and she learned the value of a dollar and hard work at an early age.
Bradshaw is educated and trained as an actor
Sufe attended the Los Angeles City Theater Academy. It was at this institution that she earned her degree in Theater. She went in for an intensive program and fully dedicated herself to learn. Her next step was to train at the Robey Theater with Ben Guillory. She also spent time honing her skills at the Strasberg’s Actor’s Studio. She continued learning the Meisner Technique, cold reading and refining rehearsal and audition techniques.
Bradshaw is a spoken-word poet
In addition to her budding career as an actress, Sufe is fond of spoken word poetry. In fact, she has spent the last ten years or so doing it. She is a multi-talented entertainer who puts her all into everything that she does.
Sufe is devoted to Yoga
Yoga is a hobby that is quickly becoming a favorite for her. She enlisted the assistance of her current teacher, Brent Laffoon to help her with the more challenging aspects. She likes the multiple benefits that she gets from the physical exercise, the focus and center from the philosophical aspects and the way that it helps her to get in touch with her inner self.
Sufe spends time working for others
She really is a down to earth person who cares about others. She is active in projects to better the community as well as donating her time and resources helping Humanity for the Homeless. She also helps go procure food and clothing for the homeless. She works with teens who are interested in dance or acting as well as heads an open mic venue known as “The Actor’s Lounge.”
Sufe is not married and she has no children but she stays connected with others both on and off screen. When she’s not acting, she is out in her community doing whatever she can to improve her corner of the world. She is kind, selfless and easy to work with according to fellow cast members. There is much more to Sufe Bradshaw than what we’ve seen on television. She’s a bright star with a light that is just beginning to shine. Her recent absence from the series Veep has sparked concerns that she is ill, but there has been no confirmation of this. We wish the best for her and look forward to her return to the series.
