Kyle Bornnheimer is an actor who is best known for the roles that he played in television sitcoms “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Casual,”and “Worst Week.” The 42 year old has made some significant contributions to the film and television industry, but hasn’t received a lot of press. There is a lot more about him that his fans would like to know, so here are five things about him that you probably haven’t heard about yet.
Kyle Bornheimer is a director
While actors become well-known for the roles that put them out there visually, directors are the more invisible cogs that turn the wheel. Sure, they get the credit they deserve in writing, but unless a viewer pays close attention to the rolling credits, they probably don’t realize who directed the show or film. Bornheimer has just recently made his directorial debut with the short film, “The Talk.” The movie is currently in its post production phase.
Kyle was an athlete
Not many of Kyle’s fans know that he was athletic in his earlier years. He was successful in gaining a position on the Marian High School football team in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was their starting quarterback. Kyle has managed to maintain his athletic build more than twenty years later and he still looks as though he could contend on the field.
Kyle Bornheimer is an Ivy Leaguer
After Kyle graduated from high school, he was accepted into Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana. He was fortunate to attend a prestigious institution without leaving his home state. He was born and raised in Mishawaka and attended high school there.
He is a family man
For those of you who are wondering if Kyle Bornheimer is single, we’re here to inform you that he is not. Although there are many in the film industry that hold off on having a family until their careers are firmly established, he’s not one of them. He is currently married to his spouse, Shannon Ryan. This is his first and only marriage. The couple have two children together.
Becoming a writer and director was his initial goal.
When Kyle was 19 years old, he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career as a film writer and director. His career direction changed when he enrolled in acting classes. His career began with a job in a commercial casting office. This gave him an advantage and helped hi to land many commercial appearances, leading to a starring role in the the comedy television series “Worse Week” on CBS. He landed other roles on television shows, and it wasn’t until 2007 that he made his debut in film. He was cast in a minor role for the comedy movie “Blades of Glory,” which became a success. It’s been a long road to get where he is today, but Bornheimer has finally reached his initial goal of directing film this year. This was his directorial debut and we’re looking forward to more from him in this capacity. He’s also achieved his other dream of becoming a film writer. Bornheimer has both written and directed his latest film project.
