Five Things You Didn’t Know about Ebon Moss-Bachrach

Ebon Moss-Bachrach is an American actor that has put together quite a career at this point and yet isn’t known for more than a few roles. At this point and time it’s hard to know anyone at all if they’re information isn’t updated continuously with the permission of the individual. A lot of actors don’t mind having their information updated and might even do it themselves if they have the time and the know-how, but some of them leave people wondering for various reasons that might have to do with a need for privacy or a desire to give out just so much to keep a certain level of mystique about them. Given how candid Ebon is with those that want to interview him at times it seems that might just be an issue of having those few moments to actually update his profile.

Or maybe it’s a lack of interest in such things.

5. He has a role in The Punisher on Netflix.

He plays the role of Micro, the man that eventually helps the Punisher out as tech support in the comics. This role has been taken on by at least one other actor in the film Punisher: War Zone, but it hasn’t been seen in a while since the other two Punisher movies starring Dolph Lundgren and Thomas Jane didn’t really go that far. This could be an interesting addition.

4. He graduated from Columbia University.

It’s a bonus knowing that actors are being formally educated these days though there are still those that don’t even go the entire way through high school and make this profession work. Those people tend to be rare since it’s usually preferred that you’ve gone through the steps of taking classes, paying your dues, and having done whatever it takes to get into a role.

3. He got his middle name from Che Guevara.

He was given the same middle name as the Argentinian guerrilla leader for some odd reason, though I can just imagine his parents had their own reasons for doing so. It could have been that they believed in what Guevara was doing or that they thought he was at least standing up for something he believed in. Usually granting someone a name such as this has great meaning.

2. He has an impressive filmography.

Ebon hasn’t been idle in his career since he’s racked up an impressive number of films, TV show appearances, and even theatrical performances that he’s got under his belt. He’s a hard worker there’s no doubt and is striving to become a known individual within the industry. It could be said that he’s already known since he’s been around for a while, but chances are he’ll keep pushing his name out there.

1. He started acting in 1999.

So just a couple years shy of two decades. He’s not a rookie and he’s not someone that just walked in off the street. He’s been plugging away at his career without stopping and it shows. The fact that he’s now got a part on one of the MCU’s hottest new shows is proof that he’s paid his dues and has earned his spot.

I get the feeling we’re going to be seeing even more of him eventually.
