Five Predictions About what Conor McGregor Will do Next

There are still those that don’t want to think that bad boy Conor McGregor is serious about hanging up his gloves but at this point it seems that this is the case and that he’ll be moving on for a while. Whether or not he’ll come back is a possibility some believe but given that he’s been falling in relevance lately when it comes to the UFC and even in the world of MMA it would seem that it might be time to go and find himself or perhaps find those that want to see him bringing his unique attitude to a different venue. Right now there’s a lot of speculation on where he’ll go and what he’ll do but there plenty of people that would love to take a wild stab at just what he’s got planned and where he might be thinking of ending up when the smoke clears and the dust settles. The only problem we have now is whether it will really be the best spot for him wherever he decides to head to.

Here are just a few guesses that you might have already thought of.

5. He’ll take a much-needed rest.

This doesn’t seem like the Conor that’s been presenting himself so readily to the public throughout the years, but maybe it’s time to just head home for a bit and kick back long enough to take a few cleansing breaths so as to figure out the next step that will lead him down the next intended path in life. Sometimes a person has to recharge and just let go of what they’ve been doing in order to find something else that might be just as useful to their life. It’s hard to see Conor settling down at all but it could be that he’s gone where he wanted to go in the UFC and barring a return he could be content with his life. Don’t roll your eyes too hard.

4. He’ll come back to the UFC eventually.

It wouldn’t be the first time he’s left and come back after all, but this time does feel a bit different from the last. In fact it almost feels as though he might be hanging up the gloves for good at this juncture. But never say never when it comes to fighters making their way back into the octagon. It’s a steep climb for those that are away for a substantial amount of time since there are always many eager fighters willing to move up the ranks every day and the competition continues to get more and more fierce as the days go by. Anyone standing outside the ring for too long won’t have much of a chance of getting back in, but there’s always the possibility, no matter how hard it might be.

3. He’ll stay in the whiskey business.

People want to drink, that much is evident and has been throughout the long history of humanity. Being in the liquor business is not the worst thing that anyone could do and so long as it makes money it’s something that can make just about anyone happy. Simply kicking back and enjoying the profits from his company doesn’t seem like something a lot of people can see Conor doing, but it does seem like something that might happen eventually. It might not be the only thing he does since it’s too easy to see Conor branching out and coming up with a few other ways to keep the cash rolling in, but this would be a good start.

2. He’ll go into movies.

Why not? Randy Couture made his way into the movies and has done fairly well thus far, and other athletes have done the same when their time to leave the sport they love came up. Some have even maintained a healthy relationship with their sport in one manner or another. It’s possible that Conor might stay affiliated with the UFC in some way that allows him to maintain a certain level of exposure, but getting into movies, if he can act, would be something that a lot of fans would love to see. The kind of energy he possesses would be something great to witness on screen and to see him as a villain might actually be kind of cool.

1. He’ll make his way to the WWE.

Ronda Rousey did it and has had great success so far so why not Conor? There have been rumors about this for a while but nothing has come of it. But quite honestly he’d be knocked down to the cruiserweight division it would seem or be thrust into the mix with the big boys and, like Rousey, be forced to rely heavily on his ability to adapt to the competition and rely heavily on his speed and power. It would be a fun to see him in the ring to be honest.

Whatever he does is bound to be something flashy since Conor is the kind of guy that can’t seem to stay out of the spotlight for long.
