Five Pivotal Moments from Supernatural Season 14

The hit series “Supernatural” delighted fans with the opener for Season 14. We’ve ridden through the ups and the downs for fourteen years now and the show just keeps getting better by the season. It’s beginning to take on a natural evolution that as that happens, we’re seeing changes happening in each of the characters and we can depend on seeing Sam take on some new characteristics and habits as the season progresses. It certainly started with a bang and if you didn’t get to see it, we’re giving you a sample of the highlights and a taste of what you missed out on. Here five key moments from Season 14 of Supernatural so far.

1. Sam steps up to the plate as a leader

One of the best moments in the fourteenth season was when Sam steps up to the plate to take on a leadership role. W.e’ve watched him stand in a subordinate position behind his brother Dean for fourteen seasons now and although we’re used to the dynamics, it’s great to see his character in action, exhausted and not much of a reserve left within him, but he keeps his head together and gives out the right instructions. You could see the annoyance on his face, but maintained well and it’s as though the character of Sam is coming into his own in this season. This is a key scene because it gives us an idea of what we may see what’s yet to come in Sam’s character development. He runs all the demons off and kills Crowley in this truly amazing scene.

2.Stranger in a Strange Land Season 14 Episode 1

In the season opener, Sam brings everyone on board to try to find Dean. It’s as though he’s disappeared and they have no idea where he is. This is a key moment in the new season and it kicks off the new round in grand style. This is quite a challenge because they know that he could be anywhere so where to begin? It’s going to take an army of searchers to track him down. Sam knows that he can’t do it alone, but there’s something different about him and we’re just beginning to get the flavor of his new character development in this brief scene.

3. Mint Condition Season 14 Episode 4

This scene from the fourth episode called mint condition aired on 11/1/2018. It shows just how versatile sam and dean truly are. As unbelievable as it may seem, action figures have come to life and it makes it necessary for the two to do some fast thinking. Things get really scary and horrible in this episode, but this scene is hilarious as we see Sam and Dean assuming the personas of a couple of gaming geeks to get information. It shows that we’re still going to see some pretty darned good humor in short amounts and that’s one of the things that we all love about Supernatural.

4. Is Nick really back?

In this scene we see Sam draw a deep breath just before entering the room where the Nick is sitting in the dark. We can’t see his face at first because it remains in the shadows. When the light goes on it is Nick who turns around to greet Sam and not Lucifer. Nick is having a tough time figuring out how he could have lived when Lucifer had died. They share a few intense moments of reflection, but both acknowledge their relief that Lucifer is dead. There is some speculation by fans that Lucifer may be coming back, but so far, they’ve not given any indications that would lead us to believe that on the show…yet.

5. Castiel tells Nick about his family

In this pivotal scene, Nick attempts to convince Castiel that he is not Lucifer. Even though he is dead, he used Nick’s body and when Castiel, Sam, and others look at him, they still see Lucifer. It’s a painful situation for everyone. Although Castiel is sympathetic he is still wary and when Nick wonders what caused him to allow Lucifer to possess him, Castiel tells him how they died. This triggers his memory.
