A cheeseburger is still able to be classified as a cheeseburger so long as there’s some cheese on it, no matter what else goes on it. In movies and in real life people give fancy names to cheesburgers but for the sake of National Cheeseburger Day it’s important to remember that the real classification of a burger with cheese is not important, it just matters that it tastes good. As meals go this is a classic that is so simple to make and doesn’t require anything other than a few simple ingredients. Of course all those extra ingredients make it taste better, that’s not the point of it. A cheeseburger is basically meat, cheese, and bread, and that’s it. The rest is whatever a person wants to add to it in order to make it something special. So on this day just enjoy the fact that you can make a cheeseburger any which way you want, so long as it has cheese of some sort.

5. Menace II Society
This is about has hardcore as it got back in the day when it came to showing how life in the ghetto supposedly worked. While it might have been over the top and a bit more ruthless than some neighborhoods really are, it was still something that showed the hard life that took a lot of young men and women straight to the grave and others to a lonely life spent watching their backs for a stray bullet that had their name on it. This scene is kind of disturbing however since a guy is trying to score some rock by using cheeseburgers and then something even worse just to feed his habit.
4. Pulp Fiction
Jules and Vincent are not the guys you mess with. They’re the two that are sent out when someone’s being particularly difficult and needs to be dealt with in an aggressive fashion, to put it nicely. Jules is actually a pretty calm guy until he gets going or until someone decides to try and interrupt him or speak out of turn. But he is intimidating, of that there’s no doubt. How many guys could just walk into a place and snatch up someone’s food and drink while looking them dead in the eye, knowing that they’re going to kill them? This guy is about as cold-blooded as it gets and yet he’s still got a heart by the end of the film.
3. Super Troopers
Farva is about the worst example of a cop you could ever find. He’s temperamental, he’s loud, obnoxious, and he doesn’t know how to take a joke to save his life. There’s a good reason he got busted down to sitting at dispatch for so long and it’s largely because he doesn’t know when to shut his mouth. Yet when it looks like someone spit in his burger he’s cool with it and doesn’t even bat an eye as he eats the whole thing. But when it’s discovered that someone poked a hole in his drink cup he flies off the handle and gets sent back to dispatch again. Please tell me no one was surprised.
2. Good Will Hunting
Morgan is kind of a punk but he’s part of the crew and therefore is subjected to abuse the likes of which comes with being friends with guys like Chucky. When he asks for his double burger, that Chucky paid for, it’s the kind of whining, singsong voice that would normally get a guy like this smacked just because he’s being kind of a prong. But all the same Chucky isn’t much better since he feels the need to humiliate Morgan when it comes to talking about how he’ll put his sandwich on layaway. You kind of have to wonder if the Affleck brothers were like this in real life at any given time.
1. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
So honestly in a town where sardines are the main fare it could probably rain gumballs and people would see it as an improvement. But when it starts raining cheeseburgers you can imagine that a lot folks were unsure of what to do. Of course you wouldn’t want to get nailed in the head or face with one of these things since it would probably hurt like hell. But if you could go out and catch them in a net it would probably make for a very good meal. However the cleanup seems like it would be horrendous, and explaining to kids how they were coming out of the sky all ready made and fit to eat would be another explanation that a lot of parents would be woefully unequipped for.
Enjoy a cheeseburger any day, but always remember what makes them great.
