The American Comedy-Drama,”Lucifer” has turned into a hit on Fox. The main character of this fantasy police drama came from DC Comics. Lucifer is bored in Hell and enters Earth in the city of Los Angeles. There, he helps the Los Angeles Police Department solve murders. Lucifer deals with several dilemmas including his mother and his attraction to LAPD detective, Chloe. The show premiered on Fox in January 2016 with 13 episodes. The popularity continues to grow with the current season, ending May 29 and consisting of 18 episodes. The show has been renewed for a third season.

Mom returns as Charlotte
When Lucifer’s mother enters the body of Charlotte Richards, a partner in a law firm, Charlotte is investigated for murder despite having a screwdriver stuck in her neck. When Charlotte is cleared of murder, Lucifer tells her that he is angry she abandoned him to an eternity in Hell. Charlotte claims that she made a deal with God to send Lucifer to Hell rather than exterminating him. Is she telling her son the truth?
Lucifer kills his brother
When Lucifer and Ammandial’s ruthless brother Uriel turns up, he wants to send Lucifer a message. He causes Chloe to get in a car accident, but not badly hurt. Despite Lucifer’s decision to punish his mother by keeping her on Earth because she hates humans, Uriel insists that Lucifer return his mother to Hell within 24 hours or Uriel will kill Chloe. Lucifer ends up killing Uriel. This upsets him because he never killed before, just punished. Before he dies, Uriel whispers something in Lucifer’s ear.
Lucifer helped create Chloe
When the alleged murderer of Chloe’s father is released from prison to attend his grandchild’s christening, Chloe is obviously upset. An investigation and new trial in the case leads to the killer being wrongly convicted. His defense attorney is Charlotte Richards who creates reasonable doubt. It is revealed that Lucifer actually was sent to create a miracle for God by having Chloe’s parents become pregnant with her before her father’s murder. Lucifer reveals that they were predestined to meet.
Lucifer saves Chloe’s life
When Chloe is poisoned, Lucifer is determined to save her. He actually lets the doctor’s stop his heart so he can return to Hell and find Carlisle’s soul and the anecdote to his poison. While in Hell, Lucifer confronts Uriel and their mother is forced to return to Hell to save Lucifer.
Lucifer returns with bride
After returning from Hell, Lucifer disappears for a couple of weeks. He returns with a wife, Candy. It turns out that he wants to protect Chloe by not becoming involved with her. Lucifer’s mother and brother try to convince Lucifer to annul the marriage. Lucifer shockingly reveals that Candy is an actress whom he helped in Las Vegas. They are not really married. Lucifer just wanted Chloe to believe he was married so he could protect her.
As season 2 of “Lucifer” comes to an end this month, we can expect to see more plot twists and an inevitable cliffhanger. Season 3 will prove to be even more exciting to watch. Fans of “Lucifer” will continue to be excited by this series.
