Katie Couric is one of the most well-known individuals on daytime TV, so it’s not really too surprising that she’d have a few awkward moments now and again. Every personality that’s ever graced the television screen has had to deal with a few less than uplifting moments that have been noticed by those that watch them the most often. Some moments never make it to the show or even to where people can see them, but some manage to surface after a while even if they’re not clips but moments that the celebrities would like to forget.

5. Speaking candidly
When you’re onscreen it seems that it’s considered polite to stick to the script and don’t deviate. But when you don’t know you’re on then it’s possible that you might say things or behave in certain ways that you might not ever think of doing when the camera is rolling. Sometimes it seems like a common joke that happens among those in show business to leave the camera rolling just so they can pick up such candid moments.
4. Teleprompter blooper
There are a lot of moments out there that are like this mostly because people do tend to flub their lines from time to time for whatever reason. It could be that they’re trying to read too fast or it could be something else that allowed them to slip up just a bit. This is a part of being human and being on the air however, as people can tend to lose track or just slip occasionally when they’re reading. It happens.

The only reason this is awkward really is that it seems so much easier for the audience to focus on what Katie is wearing than what she’s saying. There’s no doubt that she looks quite attractive in her outfit but at the risk of being sexist it does draw a lot of attention away from the interview. This is definitely one of those times when self-control and the need to recognize that she wore something she felt comfortable in were very important.
2. Sexy dancing
There aren’t likely to be that many people that are caught in the moment like this that wouldn’t turn just a little red-faced. Chances are she shrugged it off as nothing but having a good time, which it looks like she was doing, but sometimes these kind of pictures can be used to humiliate people. So long as the person in the picture didn’t care however there shouldn’t be anything to it. Of course caught in the moment it might seem awkward at first.

When Jennifer Aniston went on the Chelsea Handler show and dissed Katie Couric it seemed like something that might spark a big feud since Aniston commented that Couric might be more along the lines of tabloid journalism. But quite honestly Couric just shrugged it off as she knew just what the Chelsea Handler show was all about. It could have been awkward, but onscreen it was diffused pretty quickly.
Her most awkward moments still seem to have some poise to them.
