Young and the Restless fans love a good wedding, and there has been more wedding drama on this show than any other, if you ask us. Almost none of the weddings on this show end without some sort of horrible situation, but they are all memorable in some way. We’ve tried to break it down a bit to narrow down our favorite list of wedding memories, but we hope you’ll add to the list as we can’t possibly choose between all of the epic memories these weddings have given us. We can, however, relive them right here in all their glory.
Victoria’s Post-Wedding Arrest
Remember that time in 2010 when Victoria wanted to marry Billy but her overbearing father, Victor, decided he was totally against it? So, he had her arrested immediately after her sweet wedding to Billy. He couldn’t just handle it like any other father and do something awful like not say he would grant his permission for him to marry his daughter, or punch the groom, or something awful like that. He literally just had his own daughter arrested on her wedding day. We remember it, though, so that’s something.
Jack and Genevieve
First, it’s memorable only because we all know and love Genie Francis will never really be Genevieve. She’s Laura Spencer from General Hospital, and she can’t go getting married on daytime television if it’s not Luke Spencer she’s marrying. It’s not like she’s not had her own fair share of weddings on daytime, but she also has the record for most-watched wedding when she, as Laura, married Luke way back when. During her wedding to Jack on YTR, however, she was just not the same vibrant bride. But, her wedding was still memorable considering her husband was shot in the middle of the wedding by her Patty. It wasn’t their finest moment.
Victoria and J.T.
This ended badly. Not initially, of course. Their wedding was fine, but it was not particularly memorable in any way other than the fact that when she and J.T. married in 2008, it was a very interesting moment. They were actually already married — in real life. They wed in 2007, then their characters wed in 2008, and that was so much fun for them. Perhaps that’s why they looked so happy when they got married on the show. They were already happy being freshly married in real life.
What makes this one more memorable, however, is their characters did divorce. He left, she moved on and got re-married, and he came back, they got back together, and then he abused her badly. He’s dead now, well, that’s the story, anyway, and they’re also divorced in real life. They divorced in 2017, which is almost lie the show is making it seem like their real life storyline is happening there, too. It’s memorable for us, because we just can’t get over the fact that their personal drama also played out in the same timeline.
Nick and Phyllis
He’s going to marry Sharon, again, and that’s something we love. But we have to wonder if Phyllis will have anything to say about that in the near future. You see, she’s already married Nick herself four times. They are growing a little closer, too, as she’s helping him find out what happened to JT (more accurately, she’s making sure he doesn’t get too close to the truth about what happened to JT) and they are bonding. Their daughter is back, too, and that’s one thing that will always keep them together. It makes us wonder if he and Sharon will ever work. The fact they’ve been married four times is memorable enough for us.
Nick and Sharon
As they get ready to get married again, we have to ask ourselves this question: will it work? They are high school sweethearts, they were married basically forever for a very long time, and they have one f the longest marriages on the show. Will this wedding be more memorable than their first? They were so sweet together for so long, and we’d all love to see that one happen again. It might not work out for them, but they were so happy.
