Ernie Johnson Jr. Does a Funny Shaq Impression on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

If there’s a regular “civilian” out there who has what I would consider to be a “dream job” it’s definitely Ernie Johnson Jr.   The guy gets to play camp counselor to Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley on Inside the NBA on TNT.  Yeah there’s Kenny Smith but I’m not that big a fan of The Jet.   He’s OK but he’s nothing compared to Shaq and Charles.   Even Johnson himself calls it a dream job.  Ernie stopped by The Late Show to talk with Stephen Colbert about his role on the show as well as their NCAA tournament coverage.

All I had to hear Ernie say was “imagine your boss told you to watch March Madness for two straight days and nothing else.  That’s was my job for two days.”  Sounds pretty awesome to me.  In addition to talking about the tournament, Johnson Jr. also had a chance to dish on his co-hosts.   He called Shaq the “world’s biggest kid” and said that the big man is completely attached to Youtube.   This led to a story that Johnson told:

It’s 15 seconds before we go on halftime and he’s got some kind of music playing in front of him and he’s got his phone out and he’s singing something and he goes ‘Ernie. Sing this verse with me it’ll get like two billion YouTube hits.’ And I’m like, I don’t care if it gets two billion YouTube’ –’Brother (Shaq voice) It’ll get like 10 million YouTube hits.’ And so I try to play along with him.
