Somehow it really seems like Erin Krakow is one of those actresses that tends to lean towards more sentimental and dramatic shows that a person needs to be into or will watch just out of curiosity. So far as it can be seen she likes what she’s doing and has become fully integrated into her characters which is a great thing since it means that she’s definitely made her choice and is sticking with it. And to be honest that’s one of the first things it takes.
Here are a few things you might not have known about her.
10. Her career started in 2010.
So honestly and truly she’s still kind of learning the ropes here and there but she should have it down for the most part. Those that have been in for less than a decade seem like they have the most to learn at times, but then again some of them tend to be the most schooled and ready to take it all in.
9. She has a modest filmography.
For eight years in the business her filmography isn’t too extensive but it’s not what you would call short either. She’s been busy to be sure, but not so much that she’s been at risk of burning herself out. So far it seems as though Erin has really concentrated on taking roles that she wants and not as many as she possibly can. That’s a wise move it seems like.
8. She had a recurring role on Army Wives.
Army Wives is pretty much as you would guess, a show from the perspective of those wives who have husbands that are in active military service. It’s not an easy thing to have to go through and the show depicts this with as much emotion and drama as it can. Army wives tend to be a very close-knit bunch sometimes and are those women that go through the uncertainty of every deployment and every lonely night and more as they attempt to see past the idea that they won’t be able to see their husband whenever they want. It’s a hard life and the show depicts this in a very big way.
7. She graduated from the Juilliard School.
This is a big mark in her favor as many people that go to the Juilliard School either make it and then do nothing or don’t make it at all. The school is not one that a person can just walk through. It takes a great deal of skill, discipline, and desire to get through the school and then make something of yourself. So kudos to her for having gone through it and gone on to make a career.
6. She keeps her personal life very private.
There’s not a lot that she reveals on social media or otherwise. Erin seems to like to keep her personal life to herself a lot and that seems like a good idea since no matter what the fans or media think actors get to have their own life away from the camera too.
5. Fans tend to think that she and her costar have more than just a friendship going.
So far she and her costar Daniel Lissing have teased a relationship but nothing has come of it to be honest, at least not in her words. The two are simply good friends and no matter what anyone wants to say or insinuate they haven’t taken things any further than that. Of course people are going to talk, it’s the nature of being in the business and being in the public eye. But a lot of folks should know better than to go making statements that can’t be backed up with fact.
4. She got her start in theater productions.
Everyone’s got to start somewhere and the theater is as good a place as any. By getting a few productions under one’s belt it becomes possible to shake off stage fright and a host of other show business-related maladies that might otherwise make a career untenable. To date Erin has managed to make her career the way she wants and likely has her time spent in the theater to thank for it, as well as Juilliard.
3. When Calls the Heart is one of her biggest roles.
When Calls the Heart is kind of the story of opposites as the young teacher, Ms. Thatcher, is used to the finer things in life but must go to teach in a coal-mining town that is far from what she is used to. Once there she charms just about everyone but the local Constable, who believes he is being made to waste his time by watching over the shipping magnate’s daughter. It’s a rather touching show if you like such programs.
2. She has a good number of Intagram followers.
She has well over 200 thousand followers at this point and is following almost 150 herself.
1. She replaced Poppy Drayton in When Calls the Heart.
Poppy played the part of Ms. Thatcher in the pilot episode but you might know her better as Amberle from the Shannara Chronicles.
As of now Erin is definitely in the driver’s seat when it comes to her career.
