Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan-American actress who has had a wide range of roles in both movies and TV shows. Most recently, she is playing the role of Hannah Archer on The Brave, which is a new drama TV show that has just debuted on NBC as of September 25, 2017. Said character is supposed to be an analyst at the Defense Intelligence Agency who used to be a former operative, which sounds a lot like a seed for a future storyline should the TV show prove successful enough to continuing running. Something that remains to be determined.

Has Both Moroccan and Spanish Heritage
Pernas was born in Fes, which is sometimes considered to be the cultural capital of Morocco. As a result, it should come as no surprise to learn that Pernas was born of a Moroccan mother and a Galician father. For much of her life, Pernas traveled throughout the world but in the end, she settled down in the city of Los Angeles.
Good with Languages
Since she is so well-traveled, Pernas happens to have a lot of experience when it comes to picking up new languages, which in turn, means that she is fluent in a number of languages. So far, she is capable of English, Spanish, Arabic, and German, which is a plus for her acting career because that enables her to play a wider range of roles in a more believable manner than otherwise possible.
Had Planned on Going into Journalism
At one point in time, Pernas had planned to enter the world of journalism. Considering the sheer number of places that she has visited as well as the sheer number of languages that she speaks, that seemed like an excellent choice. However, Pernas’s plans changed when she was approached by a modeling scout, which in turn, led to an acting agent. As a result, she embarked on a career in acting rather than follow through with her initial intentions, which has led to some success on the movie and TV screen.
Starred in The Green Ghost
Recently, Pernas had an important role as Karina in The Green Ghost. Said movie is centered around a team of Mexican superheroes preventing the end of the world as we know it by stopping a malevolent witch. However, if they are to be successful, they will have to get a gringo car salesman to become the superhero Green Ghost that he could be after he was imbued with superhuman powers by a magical gemstone in a childhood accident. Suffice to say that the movie’s premise is rather quirky, but to be fair, it is supposed to be rather comedic in nature.
Appeared in The Young & the Restless
In 2015, Pernas appeared for a total of eight episodes in The Young & the Restless as the character Marisa Sierras. While it was her first time in a soap opera, it seemed to have helped, as shown by the fact that she has since appeared in a TV movie as well as a couple of TV shows.
