Objects being “reimagined” seems to be all the rage at the moment, and I personally am a fan. Mostly artists are using classic objects or designs that send you on a nostalgia trip – who doesn’t love a wander down memory lane? We all remember our first games console as a kid, right? Show me the right console, and be prepared to see me melt into a sentimental puddle.
The worlds of computing and automobiles overlaps more and more with each new development, so to address the nostalgia of our inner child’s favourite games console, ‘NeoMam Studios‘ have created eight concept cars based on classic games consoles for British car dealer ‘Jennings Motor Group‘. Some of the designs are even reminiscent of cars you may have driven in the games you used to play on the respective console.
Through the years, games consoles have generally been boxy by design and fit for purpose, with only the recent installments featuring more experimental looks – just check out the Gamecube version! Though in a world where electric, hydro-powered, driverless cars are a reality, concept cars based on our favourite games consoles may be closer than you think.
