I have been a Pokémon fan ever since the game first came out in the 90s. And playing Pokémon GO re-ignited the ‘fanboy’ in me.
When the augmented reality Pokémon GO game started in late 2016, I wondered how it would be like to have Pokémon by my side. Thus, I started drawing Pokémon into my photographs (and some of the following photographs are from my friends). I have been drawing them for a year now using a drawing tablet and Photoshop programme. The inspiration was drawn from @onepikapi– Do check his works out at www.instagram.com/onepikapi/ !
On a side note, I am an entomologist, which is a profession I would love to believe is akin to a real-life Pokémon Bug-Catcher!
Similar to the Pokémon game, finding/catching all the Pokémon to fill up one’s Pokédex, I am always on the move to find different kinds of insect and other bugs to add to the scientific collection.
