A Polish artist named Marika Boniuk decided she would reconnect with her childhood by mixing her unique style with almost everyone’s favorite princesses from Disney. For this series, she chose 8 of them. Marika illustrates a lot of females and female characters on her Instagram. Her style is very different, she almost always chooses complex lighting, and some of her drawings even look like 3D models. Her blending methods are interesting to observe and she uses her own brush set that she created—there’s a link below if you’re an artist and you’re interested.
“I was super sick and tied to my bed when I saw a screenshot from Snow White somewhere. I basically spent 3-4 days rewatching some of the old Disney movies. It made me so nostalgic that I decided to draw one princess to share this feeling. And then I painted another and another. The process makes me feel like a child again,” she told Bored Panda.
