Days of Our Lives has left Nicole in a precarious situation. She’s forced to sit back and watch as another woman bonds with her baby. Her journey hasn’t been an easy one. She’s been working so hard for many years to become a mother to no avail. She and her late-fiance had one more viable fertilized egg, but they didn’t think the pregnancy panned out. She had no idea Chloe, her friend, tried one more time to get pregnant and it worked. She thought the baby Chloe was carrying was one she conceived during a one-night stand, and it wasn’t until after the baby was born and her current-but-almost-ex fiancé Deimos and her friend Brady did the math that she learned the baby is actually Nicole’s. It’s been a devastating time for her.
At first Chloe told her she could have the baby only if she left Deimos. It seemed Chloe was doing the right thing, because everyone could see Deimos is a bad guy. Nicole was lonely and devastated because of losing Daniel, and she was just looking for anyone. It seemed Chloe was being a great friend in asking her to do this so she could protect this baby, but it turns out she’s not looking to do the right thing at all. Nicole left Deimos, and Chloe still won’t give her the baby. She’s lost a court battle to get custody of her biological daughter, and Chloe refuses to give her up. Now Chloe and Holly are bonding like mother and daughter, and it’s killing Nicole. She’s losing it.
Now we worry. Brady is confused and shocked by Chloe, and he’s worried about Nicole. She’s beside herself with grief. She’s been unable to have anything go right in her life in the past year or so, and things are only getting worse. He is worried she is going crazy, and he worries she might do something drastic and/or stupid. Will she try to take her own baby? Will Nicole lose her mind and go off the deep end looking for a way to get her daughter back into her life?
