Days of Our Lives fans really do enjoy Marlena. She is a nice woman who spends a lot of her time being lonely while the love of her life works in secret missions anywhere and everywhere in the world. She’s alone a lot, but she’s powerful. She’s a good doctor, and she makes a lot of headway in her life. She’s got friends and family, and she really does enjoy helping others. But her story lines are rarely every very interesting. Until now, that is.
It turns out that Dr. Marlena better watch her back, because Anjelica’s dear friend Hattie is about to kidnap her and trade places with her so she can take over her life. This means Marlena is going to end up in a mental institution while Hattie takes over. We do want to know how Hattie is planning on becoming a doctor and performing those duties — but those are just details, right?
All we know now is with John gone, there might not be anyone really close enough to realize she’s not herself. So does this mean her plan with Anjelica will succeed? And what else does this mean? What is the ultimate goal here? There has to be more to it than just living a life that’s not her own for Hattie, and Anjelica would never be involved in something that didn’t directly affect her life in a way she deemed beneficial and to her liking. So that leaves us to wonder what might happen in the meantime.
