Days of Our Lives spoilers for Wednesday tell us things are warming up with Chad and Abigail. They’ve had such a long road to get to this point, and they are finally in a happy moment. It’s been interesting to watch them as they work on their marriage now that Abby isn’t dead. They didn’t have the best start to their new marriage as it is, but they definitely didn’t plan on things happening as they did. It’s been one of those situations in which you just can’t win. She wasn’t dead, but Chad thought she was. He mourned her for so long before he finally began to fall for someone else, the woman he dated all through his teenage years. Gabi and Chad took things very slow, not even making a move on one another until months after Abby was declared missing and dead.
She came back to see them kissing, and then she made the decision to hide out even more from her husband. She was alive the entire time, came home to continue hiding from him, and things did not get any better for her. Why would she do that? She didn’t make many good decisions, and that meant she wasn’t able to get in his good graces when she came back. When Chad found out she was alive the entire time, and that she’d been back in town for so long, he was not amused to have been lied to like that. It wasn’t pretty.
It turns out that they have some serious issues to work through. She’s got another man in love with her, he’s in love with another woman, but they both want to make things work. They are finally getting to a happy place in their relationship. They’re renewing their vows, and they’re celebrating the fact that this is something coming up. They want to celebrate with one another, and they’re doing so when Gabi walks in on such an intimate moment. She’s horrified and upset when she walks in on them, and it makes the entire situation much worse. Is Chad’s reaction the catalyst that tells Abby he doesn’t really love her?
