Days of Our Lives fans aren’t surprised to see that a beautiful double wedding has been turned into something very ugly and unfortunate, but that’s the way things go around here. There are so many people with so many bad histories around here that it’s almost impossible to get through with something lovely without something horrible marring it forever. But we have to ask this question; why Ben again? He’s been someone who has caused so much trouble for so many people for so long.
He’s been around, he’s done the horrible things, he’s done more horrible things, he’s been arrested, he’s been hospitalized, and he’s escaped how many times now? He caused the woman he tortured for so long to fake her own death and run away just so she could keep her family safe. Then he shows back up at her second wedding to the same man? It’s a situation we don’t entirely understand.
It’s certainly interesting, of course, but there are so many other ways to bring the drama to this show without brining Ben back. How many times can the same mental patient escape his holding cell at the hospital without someone realizing they need to do a bit more to get this man taken into custody and kept out of the way?
