If you have been enjoying the current season of ‘Dark’ on Netflix, you will be pleased to hear that the show has been renewed for a second season. The series was the first German-language show to be produced by Netflix and has proved to be very popular throughout Europe and in the United States.
The show is set in a small German town and focuses on the lives of four families that begin to fall apart with the disappearance of two teenagers. The show is set in the present day but there is a supernatural time traveling element to the show that goes back to the mid-80s. There are ten episodes in the first season and these are all an hour long. The creators of the series Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese are understandably delighted by the decision to renew for a second season. They thanked the actors and the crew for all the hard work they have put in for the first season and have promised fans that they have lots of ideas already for the next series. There are still stories that have not been fully explained and there are characters that have had minor roles that the audience would like to know much more about.
