A Cat Made Of Clay

After artist Stephanie Kilgast‘s cat Arya died, the artist decided to honor her with a sculpture. “We had to put [Arya] to sleep <...> after a lot of health struggle,” Stephanie says. “Sad of her loss, but relieved she doesn’t suffer anymore, I’ve sculpted her as a tribute.” Kilgast used fimo polymer clay for the whole piece, and bit by bit created something more than just a sculpture – she immortalized her memories of Arya. “Art truly helps to weep and create a physical memory, and it gets better with time.”
