You want a great movie scene to motivate you? Look no further than the movie Pool Junkies with Christopher Walken. It came out in 2002 and wasn’t particularly the greatest film nor was it all that popular. However, there’s one scene, just one moment that to me will always be one of the greatest motivational moments on film. It’s dubbed “The Lion Speech.” Walken’s in the bathroom and starts talking about the nature channel. He brings up lions and then goes into this awesome 2 minute speech that by the end of it makes you want to be the lion.
If you’re sitting around right now contemplating life and thinking about how you want to live it, you might want to try and follow this little story which in my mind goes a little something like this. If you want to make it in this world, live like a lion. Hone all of your skills as a lion would. Work as hard as you can to be king of the jungle and when you get there, don’t be boastful about it. Don’t show it off. Just know that you have the skills to defeat anyone at anything.
When the time comes you’ll know when to let the lion out. But only use it when the situation calls for it.
Walken’s version is way better.
