Check Out This Intense Super Mario Bros. Tap Dance Routine

Intense is definitely the right word it feels like for this showing since it goes above and beyond a lot of routines considering that the lady doing the tapping is going full out in several moments and then just keeps going. There are a lot of things out there that are pretty interesting if you simply take a look at them and realize how much work really goes into them. Tap dancing is something that a lot of people might look at and then look away just as quickly but all in all it’s something that’s highly impressive since not just anyone can do it. Doing it to the Super Mario Bros. theme seems even trickier since one would have to develop a routine that would fit with the music and keep a tempo that’s nothing short of quick and upbeat, though when it comes to tap dancing I’ll be one of the first to admit that I have no idea how to include attitude within the dance, but I’ll bet someone could explain.

Right now it’s enough to say that it’s impressive and is something that could easily be seen as a real skill that is easy to admit is fun and engaging, but isn’t exactly something that you would think would draw the biggest crowd in the world. I won’t say it’s easy, far from that since simply trying to remember when and how to tap out the rhythm would likely irritate and frustrate the hell out of a lot of people, but it does seem like a skill that’s fading in the common era since while a lot of people do seem to enjoy doing it and do like to watch it, it’s not exactly something you see a lot of in popular media and it does seem as though it’s kind of a dated form of dance that people are trying to keep alive in various ways. More power to them quite honestly since the sound of it and the act itself is something fun that can entertain people and can prove to be a challenge for those that like to try something new, but otherwise it doesn’t seem to have a lot of practical application other than to be counted as an art form that some people might like to try to see if they could master it. In a way it’s almost like learning an ancient language that few if any people speak fluently anymore since it’s not something that tends to bring people together in a big, concentrated manner.

But it’s fun to watch, there’s no doubt about that. If you can recall Gregory Hines he was one of the best and most engaging to watch since the guy could tap in place or would use the entire room to his benefit for his tap routines and was something else to witness. The guy could be tapping as he was striding he was that good, and it was one of the things he was known the best for since he was that great at it. In a way tap dancing looks as though you’ve just invented another creative way to stomp your feet on the floor, but if you pay close attention you’ll see a person tapping with their heel and then the ball of their foot alternately as they create a rhythm between the two that comes so quick and, if the person knows what they’re doing, so skillfully that you’ll begin to make out a tune in your head if you can decipher just what it is that they’re tapping to. It’s definitely easier to have music to go along with it since otherwise trying to divine what they’re getting down to might be kind of difficult unless the pattern is that obvious. But all in all tap dancing is something that takes a lot of skill, a lot of time and practice, but is still something that is highly specialized and isn’t bound to be high on the list of many people when it comes to marketable skills that they want to learn.

That’s not saying that it’s not useful since, as Jacqueline Baglio of Odyssey might tell you, it’s a skill that one can learn and amaze people with and employ in a few ways that might gain attention, but it’s not bound to be something that really makes a person famous unless it becomes one of their main skills that they can display at the drop of a hat. It is impressive though and if you even bother to attempt it you might find that it’s a great deal harder than it looks and is something that might take hours upon hours to really master since the repetition is likely what makes it work and the ability to improvise is what makes it that much more impressive.
