Check DC TV’s “Super Season” Trailer for the Fall

It makes sense for CW to make a trailer that features all of its successful superhero franchise. The trailer shows us our four favorite teams as they go fight evil for another season: Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. It also works exceptionally well for Legends, the newest superhero installment as it can anchor on the success of the other three shows. It isn’t unusual either, as the characters constantly cross paths on each other’s programs (and universes). It’s been a long wait for fans, and this collaborative trailer might have revealed a few things we can definitely get excited about for the coming fall season.

First, we definitely see our supers doing their usual thing. Kara seems to be working in the same place, and so does Barry. We also got a glimpse of other cast members and some interesting settings. There’s a dinosaur, for one, which is likely to appear in Legends as they continue their travels through time. We also see the group in a beach scene. Maybe they’re vacationing? They’re more than likely not.

We definitely also see familiar faces and some new villains. It could’ve been Superman hitting the ground cold around what looked like a big explosion. We also get a long look at the face of Eobard Thawne as it was about to explode into pieces. We know he’s definitely back in action in the series, and we’re looking forward to another Flash/Zoom battle. We also see a new Legends villain that supposedly can summon up the power of any animal. Yikes.

The trailer showed glimpses of Green Arrow but not enough to say anything definitive. We definitely see him in action, but his team went MIA. Someone else was MIA throughout the entire trailer. Caitlyn Snow, AKA Killer Frost, did not make an appearance. Does this mean that we’re going to miss the sweet Dr. Snow on the show next season? We hope not. But we are looking forward to some more Killer Frost action. If CW is trying to keep her story under wraps by not putting her on the trailer, we understand, especially since they gave us something else to talk about.

It looks like we’ve got a new White House Press Secretary in our midst. We knew from the previous season that James has temporarily taken over Cat’s media empire. The trailer shows us Cat standing behind the Press Secretary podium, ready to take questions from everybody. This raises the most basic of questions such as what is she doing there and why are they having a press conference.

All in all, the trailer was an exciting way to get fans ready for what CW is now calling the “Super Season.” We like it and so should you because this probably means that we’re going to see more crossovers this season. Those are always fun to watch, and to get the whole gang in on one episode will kind of just be the icing on the cake. Supergirl will be kicking it all off on Monday, October 9 at 8pm ET.
