At this point in our society a wardrobe malfunction is about as common an occurrence as breathing. You can’t really go a week without a report of someone having an alleged “wardrobe malfunction.” I put this phrase in quotes because at this point are these really mistakes or accidents? It feels like at least 75% of the time these “malfunctions” are planned. But wouldn’t you know, Britney Spears had a legitimately real wardrobe malfunction at one of her recent Las Vegas concerts.
How fitting that this just happened when the Super Bowl is just around the corner. You’ll recall that the first major and most famous wardrobe malfunction of all-time was none other than Janet Jackson at the Super Bowl when she was performing with Justin Timberlake. In any event, according to Fox news
While performing in Las Vegas, the singer’s leotard failed to keep her chest covered and she ended up flashing her audience. Like a true professional, the star continued to hit each dance move and did not miss a beat, but her social media savvy fans didn’t either, pulling out their smartphones and capturing the fashion faux pas for the world to see. Last year, she also suffered a malfunction during an on-stage costume change that resulted in her exposing more than she anticipated.
This story sounds legit because Spears just went on dancing afterwards. No embarrassment, no nothing. In fact she pretty much owned the moment. There was no “oops I did it again” in this instance. It was more of a “I did it and I’m gonna run with it.”
