Most adults have some fun memories about Blue’s Clues, a cartoon that used to run about this adorable dog that was constantly searching for something in order to find answers to some of life’s questions. The show was always unique because the dog itself was animated, yet there was a segment that was filmed by a host. The show also involved a number of different children. This is one of the shows that was often considered a favorite by people who are growing up during the time that it aired. In fact, the original show aired from 1996 to 2007, hosted by both Donovan Patton and Steve Burns.
The truth is, this is one of the most popular shows around when it originally aired. Fortunately, it’s making a comeback. Nickelodeon has recently ordered 20 episodes in all that will end up airing at a later date that is yet to be determined. When it does air, it will be on Nick Jr., which is obviously a channel owned by Nickelodeon.
Fans of the original show will be glad to know that for the most part, the format really hasn’t changed. In fact, the producers have gone out of their way in order to ensure that the core of the show remains the same. After all, it was so popular at the time that it would seem like a bad idea to do anything radical with it. The fact that new episodes are being ordered is a good thing, not only because it gives kids an opportunity to see something that is actually far different from most of the things that are on today, but also because it gives parents an opportunity to go back and revisit some happy memories from their own childhood. Hopefully, parents and children will start watching the show together in order to create even more memories, which ultimately increases the bond between parent and child.
There is one more surprise about this particular round of shows. They haven’t yet found someone to host this one. This is good news for anybody that ever sat and watched the original show and thought that hosting it would actually be their dream job. In fact, Nickelodeon plans on holding tryouts for a new host on April 14th. Tryouts will be held in Burbank, California. If you have wanted to get involved with children’s television for quite some time or you simply want to be involved with a television show that brought you some great memories as a child, why not show up and try out? After all, you never know what is possible until you give it your best effort.
If you’re excited to watch this new version of Blue’s Clues, hang in there. Production is slated to begin on the show this summer. That means it might be awhile before it actually airs, but if it is anything like the original, it’s definitely worth waiting for. Until then, fans of the original show can enjoy knowing that one of their favorites is coming back for another run.
