Fans of WWE had some exciting events springing up in the 2017 lineup. A big part of the fun is seeing which special guest is going to show up both in and out of the ring. The company is getting good at making Wrestlemania even more entertaining in between the breaks. We’ve seen some memorable moment take place. Fans loved watching Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and The Rock have a beer together to kick off the opening show. In case you missed out, here are the biggest surprise appearances on WWW Raw this year.
Roman Reigns has a chilling encounter with The Undertaker
The March 6, 2017 RAW featured an encounter with the Undertaker. The Deadman returned to teach Roman a lesson and to inform him that he was taking over the yard. The Undertaker hit the ground running with a shock slam with little effort and was barely breathing hard as Roman hit the mat with a thud.
WWE Shawn Michaels appearance at Royal Rumble 2017
He secured the championship 20 years ago and die-hard fans haven’t forgotten him. Shawn Michaels delighted the crowd who held up welcome back signs and cheered the veteran on in his return to the ring to announce the main event and stir up the spectators.
John Cena Surprise Appearance
This clip shows the reaction of fans when John Cena dropped in to help out a few old friends. He made an appearance to spur on Enzo and Cass loyalists. Just the sight of him was enough to stir a frenzy. When he started talking it was near pandemonium amidst the crowd chants of “Cena, Cena, Cena.”
Goldberg returns to WWE
WWE sponsored its first “Festival of Friendship. On Feb 13, 2017, Goldberg was back in the ring but it wasn’t his finest hour. He suffered a humiliating beatdown from the reigning Universal Champ Kevin Owens.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
We saw The Rock make an appearance in season 31 and at the opener to enjoy a beer in the ring with the guys. We believe that we’re going to see more of him in WWE RAW 33.
Shinsuke Nakamura
We’re not quite sure if we’re going to see him in RAW or Smackdown, but he’s definitely a favorite to come back on board at some point. Nakamura is hoping for some luck in his music career, but he knows that he has American fans in WWE.
Asuka
Asuka is a favorite that has shone under the NXT banner, but will she be as big of a hit in WWE? She’s got what it takes to be successful in the ring, the question is how will fans respond to her?
Shaquille O’Neill
This one is still questionable, but there are rumors that Shaq will at least make an appearance in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. There is also speculation that Conor McGregor will also show up.
