If you are regular watchers of The Late Show or just a Stephen Colbert fan in general you might know that Colbert is a devout Catholic. One of the most important aspect of being a Catholic is going to confession on a regular basis. Given Colbert’s celebrity status, this isn’t the easiest thing to do with consistency. So rather than attending the church, Colbert has decided to bring the church right into the studios.
He created a segment called “Stephen Colbert’s Midnight Confessions.” In this segment, as you can imagine Colbert shares some of his deepest and darkest secrets. Of course all his confessions have a large bit of humor but you can’t help but to wonder if these are really in fact confessions. Recently the Late Show put together a compilation of some of his best moments from these late night confessions and I decided it would be a great time to share them with you.
It’s tough to pick a favorite out of this bunch but they’re all pretty entertaining. Hope you enjoy the video!
