Let’s do a quick rewind. Bow Wow posted a picture to his Instagram and Twitter accounts. The photo was of a Mercedes and private Jet. Bow Wow posted a caption on the photos alluding to the fact that he was on his way to film his show Growing Up Hip Hop. Here’s what he wrote: “Travel day. NYC press run for Growing Up Hip Hop. Lets gooo.” Hours after the posts went up he was called out by the internet because someone had a photo of him sleeping in coach on a plane the same day meaning he never took a private jet thus him being a liar and subject of ridicule which he got tons of.
The internet was ruthless in making fun of him and even created the #BowWowChallenge which became a whole host of merciless memes juxtaposing opulent fantasies with jarring realities. Bow Wow addressed the whole thing today on radio. According to Uproxx
Bow Wow appeared on the Hot 97 show Ebro In The Morning to explain himself and it seems like he’s in on all of it. “I took the Greyhound in here this morning man,” Bow Wow joked up top. “It’s a scientific method to my madness,” he declared while alluding to his upcoming show on WE TV. “You got to watch the show. Everything is for the show.”
DJ Peter Rosenberg put it in better terms. “It was a troll,” he said. “I believe he was trolling for this to happen. Maybe it’ll be in the show. I know for a fact that Bow Wow is too smart, that he thought he could get away with this.”
“It doesn’t affect me. It doesn’t affect the women. It doesn’t affect the bank. It doesn’t affect anything,” he said. “Me and my homies play around all day, so you have got to have thick skin, so when the joke is around on me, I don’t really care.”
