If putting Barry Watson and Raquel Welch in the same sentence seems a little strange, get used to it. Turns out that both of them have signed on to do a new show called “Date my Dad” which will be on the UP network. According to TVline
Watson will star in UP’s Date My Dad, a 10-episode hour-long family dramedy about former professional baseball player Ricky (Watson), who finds himself raising three young girls all by himself after his wife’s untimely passing. Even worse, his mother-in-law Rosa (recurring guest star Raquel Welch) decides to move out, leaving everything in his daughters’ lives – “from makeup to boys” – up to him.
Watson is best known for playing the role of the eldest Camden kid on 7th Heaven. Now it seems he’ll be heading his own household. Welch, who’s been in more movies than we can count should be a solid mother-in-law on the show. While Watson’s best known for his long locks on 7th Heaven, fans will have to get used to the clean cut look, at least for 10 episodes anyway.
As for Raquel Welch, along with Sophia Loren, I think she may be the best looking woman for her age in the entire world. I don’t care how much surgery may have gone into it, the woman is 76 years old. Loren by the way is 82.
