I don’t know about you but the first thought to enter my mind upon seeing this is, weren’t the terrorists that shot Doc Brown driving a van like this? I think they were, and we’re getting a look at what could have been if they’d managed to be the ones that were smart enough to come up with the time machine design. Maybe that’s part of what they were trying to use the plutonium for? Nah, that’s stretching things pretty far, especially considering that this van couldn’t possibly reach the 88-miles and hour needed without falling off a cliff and hoping not to splatter before impact. Of course, given that the DeLorean always stayed in the same spot despite going back or forwards in time, it could still be a one-way trip.

For now let’s just look at the thing and imagine that it could be more impressive than it looks.

The design is definitely cool and you can tell that someone put in a lot of work on it. But the limitations of having the front compartment being separated from the back seems a little bit odd. The colors are nice though despite being a little bold and even riotous.

To be honest it looks kind of comfy back there, if you’re the right size and aren’t too broad. They definitely didn’t build these vans for bigger folks it looks like. The color on the outside is awesome and looks like a custom job.

The time circuits look genuine and almost as if you could start punching in times of where you want to go. Just imagine if you could actually get this thing up to speed, and of course if it were real. But to be honest time travel seems like it would be a little more intense and not as easily done in a simple factory vehicle.

I get the feeling that this lights up and looks really impressive when everything is running. Too bad to make it work the power source would likely fry everyone inside the vehicle if it wasn’t properly installed. That’d be a short trip to a very unpleasant future.

I’m kind of wondering if the gear shift would ever cause any problems with the time circuit. After all it would be kind of awkward if you punched in a few extra years to the future by switching gears. Or even worse, if you went back in time to when the power source for the vehicle wasn’t even discovered yet.

Well this looks cozy, if you’re a kid or a small person. I can see two medium-sized individuals being comfortable in here. This at least offers some explanation for the divide between the driver’s seat and the back of the van. You should be able to cruise at a moderate pace in style and while watching your favorite movie.

Overall this van looks pretty nice. It’s on sale for about $98,000 if you happen to be rolling around with that much in your pocket. Otherwise just enjoy the sight and  the novelty of it.
