From The Bachelor to Bachelor in Paradise: Corinne Olympios’ Controversial Journey
When you make a spectacle of yourself on The Bachelor and then transition to another show, it’s hard to know what to believe. I’m not sure if Corinne Olympios was “violated” by DeMario Jackson on the set of “Bachelor in Paradise” or not, but one thing is clear: she made it a point to be over-the-top (to say the least) during her brief stint on The Bachelor. Even her mother admitted that nearly all of her behavior on that show was “an act.”
Now that Olympios is claiming her intimate encounter with DeMario Jackson was unauthorized, many people, including myself, are pausing to consider whether this is just a publicity stunt. The sad thing is that even if it’s true, her antics on The Bachelor will undoubtedly cause every single person who reads about the story to have serious doubts about her allegations. Then again, this is 100% her fault. The details of the story can be found over at TMZ, but even the gossip outlet’s sources say:
We’re told the day after the swimming pool incident she claims fellow cast members began telling her stories of what went down with DeMario. She says several cast members told her they had voiced concern to people on the production crew that she was in no position to consent to sexual activity, but the crew did not heed their warnings.
Production sources insist other cast members did not complain to anyone that Corinne was too drunk to form an intent to have sexual contact with DeMario. As we reported, sources familiar with the footage say she appeared “fully engaged.” Corrine doesn’t fully blame DeMario because he too was drunk. She blames producers and has lawyered up.
Bachelor in Paradise on Hold: What’s the Bottom Line?
Bachelor in Paradise is now paused while Warner Bros. investigates the allegations. The bottom line in all of this? Olympios wins either way. She gains more attention, whether it’s positive or negative, and I’m sure she’s angling for her own show as we speak. It’s truly sad to see this kind of behavior rewarded. She and the “cash me ousside” girl, Danielle Bregoli, should be besties by now.
