I think ‘wow’ just about covers it, the long and short. The anti-Disney group is back and prepping an attack on Avengers: Infinity War, and to be honest it’s just about a threatening as the fluffy bunny on The Secret Life of Pets. Why would anyone bother putting these folks down? That’s pretty simple, because they seem to think that hating diversity is okay, and that the straight white male is being victimized somehow. On a personal note I’d like to say that I hope someone from that organization sees this, I really do. Diversity is who we, as Americans, are. There’s hardly a one of us here any longer whose ancestors didn’t hail from somewhere else, not counting Native Americans of course, and as to being straight and wanting representation, the guy running this thing is a crackpot, plain and simple.
Yes it seems like being born white and male is becoming kind of a sin to some folks but so what? If you’re born male and white you still get the chance that everyone else does in this world to like what you want. Black Panther was a good movie, perhaps not quite the blockbuster that so many think, but that’s one opinion out of millions. Solo: A Star Wars story, is as close to the legends canon as Star Wars fans are going to get right considering that it takes place between the prequels and the original films just like Rogue One did. And on to Avengers: Infinity War. Disney is definitely taking liberties with a lot of stories these days, but given that they weren’t able to tap other heroes for the movie thanks to not owning the rights it makes sense that they would take the biggest group they have at the moment. You know it’s also kind of funny that the person that wrote the article that the link is attached to uses The Last Jedi motif on their personal icon. Despite the text that’s featured in it that makes them a rather big hypocrite really.
Again, come on and smite this article and tell us all again why Disney’s movies are so bad. Is it because people love them? Is it because despite their best efforts to lower the Rotten Tomatoes score, yawn, they failed and somehow still call it a success? Delusion must be one of their core concepts since really they remind me of the scene below in Austin Powers:
Oh that poor, deluded soul that tries to stop progress. It’s a valiant effort but….wait, no it’s not. In truth the person behind this is promoting hate and is proud of it. Quite honestly they’re acting as though they applied for a job with Disney and couldn’t get in so they’re going to get their revenge by assaulting Disney through the one venue that could possibly hurt them the most, by affecting the ratings on their movies. Wait, that still hasn’t worked? Hm, maybe it’s time for a change of tactics.
Ever thought of just not watching them?
