It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Health Care in America

While It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a comedy show first and foremost, it doesn’t mean the content on the show doesn’t have a point.  And it certainly doesn’t mean these guys aren’t with the times.  In fact, it’s the opposite.   Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney make it a big point to not only make fun of society but do it in a way that shows they know exactly what’s going on.   Today we found this Reddit post the reminds us just how messed up the Health Care Situation is for many people in America.    Have a read and then we’ll filter in some of the best responses we saw from this post:

It's Always Sunny

Beserk Mushroom says:  It would be pretty hilarious if your house was burning down and the fireman would only put the fire out if you had insurance.

Knylok says:  That is exactly why it should never be a pay-to-play system. There will always be someone who doesn’t pay, then gets upset when they lose everything. “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes”. Well that’s what monetizing a necessary social service feels like to me.

Cmclaighlin –  I love how they changed what the characters actually said on the last couple pictures to suit the “capitalism is evil, socialism is great” theme.

I for one think that Health Care premiums are a complete joke.  I nearly pay $2000 a month for my family because I work for myself.  Do I really need to pay this?  Probably not but it’s illegal for me not to have healthcare and God forbid an emergency happens and I get booted out of a hospital when I need care.  Anyway, I have no desire to make this a political post by any means.  The point is simple.  The gang from Always Sunny is awesome and if you pay attention they have the South Park like ability to mock the establishment as well as anyone else.
