A Cool Video Of How Hostess Snacks Are Made

This video showing how Hostess snacks are made is definitely something you can see during a tour with only a few differences, those being that a tour of the facilities might be a little more comprehensive. For one the human element is almost entirely taken out it seems as a lot of the process is automated and doesn’t seem to require much more than maintenance and upkeep and of course the routine checks that are needed to keep such things as the filling in the lines so as not to send out any snacks without their cream filling. You also don’t get to see the manner in which the snacks are packaged, but that of course is likely automated to a degree as well.

The staggering number of treats that can be produced in a day to a year’s time is amazing really since it makes you think of just how much is actually consumed by customers. The amount of sugar in each snack is tremendous but the fact is that people still eat them by the dozens at times. Still thinking about eating 600 million donettes in a year is kind of stomach-churning to say the least since it’s the kind of thing that some people would see as a challenge. Of course given that some people eat these things every day without fail it’d be a number that for one individual would still be impossible. That many donettes, that much sugar, and that many carbs would be the undoing of a person if they were eat these things every day, without question. Even the most active person would no doubt feel the impact of this if they were to even try. And Twinkies, ah jeez, people are always so up and down about Twinkies and their lack of health benefits versus the fact that they simply taste good and are quick, easy snack.

A lot of the food that people eat these days is processed and mass-manufactured. Some it’s not at all healthy but then again it’s quick and it’s reliable. There’s no way that eating this much of anything would be good for someone, but the dynamics behind it is that Hostess makes this much to spread across the nation and possibly the world wherever it might be in demand. While a lot of people eat Hostess snacks a lot don’t as well and therefore don’t need to worry about how much sugar is in each package. It’s a good treat if you’re hungry or just have a sweet-tooth but that’s about where it stops. The demand for Hostess has been quite high for a long time, but the supply has almost always been greater and able to meet the demand with ease depending on the region in which the product is being sold.

Finding out how they’re made isn’t nearly as interesting to some people as WHAT goes into them. The idea is that to some people these things are diabetes wrapped in plastic, while to others they’re little slices of heaven prepackaged and lovingly delivered to people. Honestly they’re just a nice treat now and again.
