The Bold and the Beautiful fans were not shocked when Brooke found out what Ridge did and lost her mind. He made a deal, and it’s a deal that basically means the people who hurt her daughter the most are not going to pay for their crimes the way that she feels they should pay. He had to do it, and the fact that Flo gets out on a technicality is not something he loves. He didn’t want to see that happen, but it did happen. He wanted to see things take a much more interesting turn, but he also wanted to see things fall apart for her in a way that would put her away. But, for that to happen, he also had to give up his son and make that happen. He could not do it. He wants to get Thomas the help he needs, and he cannot get that if he is imprisoned and upset with his life.
Wyatt was also taken a bit back when he realized that Sally is not a woman who will ever do anything to put her own life at risk. She will not put her own worth to the side or do anything that will make her feel like she’s not worthwhile. She has so much self-respect, and she has so much to offer, and she knows she has a bright future. Things may not always work out for her the way that they were intended to work out, but this is not something that she is willing to deal with on her own accordance. She’s got a life to live, and she’s got a situation to deal with. She’s a not mess, and that’s all there is to it. She’s going to keep her life together.

And it’s done. We are sure that Ridge and Brooke are now officially over even if they haven’t made it official. Ridge walked out, and we don’t think he will come back to his wife after the fight that they are about to have. They have their differences when it comes to their children, and there is nothing that they ever see on the same page. However, this is so much different than anything else they’ve been through in a while, and we get that. We get that they are not in a place where things are easy for them, but what Ridge has done is unforgivable in his wife’s eyes. He’s made a deal that means that Thomas and Flo will not go down for their part in what happened to Hope and Liam’s baby. Don’t get us wrong — we know that Ridge did not want to do this and did not want to see Flo walk free for her part in this. But his son needed him to do it, and now there is nothing Brooke will ever forgive him for.
Then there is the fact that we can see things unfolding for Shauna, too. She is going to have a chance encounter with Brooke when she’s at the house, and Brooke will literally and physically push her out of the house and make things miserable for everyone involved. There is nothing that will ever change this at all, and we get it. There’s not much else that we can do but watch this unfold in an entertaining way.
