Days of Our Lives fans learned last week that we play favorites. No, really, we do. We have favorites, but so you do. And the great news is that we are all allowed to have favorites even when they differ. We went through a list of the people who we think are some of the most impressive, best, and most wonderful male actors on the show. We might not have all the same men on our list that you have on yours, but we also decided that we are pretty good at this and we love that our men probably match a lot of yours. Now it’s time to go with the women. Who are the best actresses on the show? Who brings the most to the table? Who makes us feel that she is the woman on the screen? It’s hard, because they are all so spectacular. On that note, though, we do have a few who rank a little higher than some of the other amazing actresses on the show.

She is the amazing Kayla, and we just love her. She’s been around since as long as we can remember the show, and that’s because she’s so good. She’s been handed a few ugly stories. She’s been given some work that might be tough for anyone to do. She’s made some choices in her character’s life that don’t make a lot of sense to us. She’s brought us to tears. She’s made us laugh. She’s made us feel more suspense than we can even tell you about. But, at the end of the day, we always think of her when we think of the actresses who do the best job. She’s become Kayla. She is this woman, and we feel that she might be a lot like her in real life even if she is not really a doctor with a dramatic husband and life story. She seems like she’s strong, fun, and a little bit hilarious. She seems like the kind of woman who would do anything for anyone who needed her help. She seems like an amazing woman.

How can we not mention a woman who has been so good at her job that she’s never even lost the chemistry she has with her on-screen and off-screen husband? She’s been the woman who has made the biggest splash on the show as she is the woman who has been around the longest at this point. She’s so good at what she does that we don’t even think about arguing with her when she speaks. We want her to take over the show and be the woman who makes all the decisions for everyone because she comes across as so wise. The fact that her onscreen lover became her real husband is just too much for us. They’ve been married almost 5 decades at this point, and we just cannot handle how perfect they are with one another. They are all the things we love about people.

What’s not to love about a woman who can take her life and turn it into something so good that we all admire her? She’s been through so much more than most of the women on the show, and she’s come out the other side. She’s died, she’s come back, she’s been a hostage, and she’s been the bad guy while playing Marlena. She’s also been the kind of woman who has been in the middle of so many things that make her feel good about her life, but she’s really been amazing playing her own evil twin. It is beyond amazing to us that she can turn herself from her main character to her own evil doppleganger without even blinking. She can play both roles to a tee, and she can convince us she is both women. That is a skill that not too many people have in the world, as they cannot even convince us they are the person they say they are. She’s amazing, and we are beyond in love with the work she does in Salem whether she is herself or she is the evil version of herself.
