Justice League is a movie that you either loved or kind of turned away from with one hand over your face as you waited for it to get better. In some ways it wasn’t horrible since it was the kind of story that seemed like it could be absolutely awesome since it features characters that a lot of us grew up with and have enjoyed for many years. But on the other hand if you’re not a big fan of CGI or at least not so much of it in one place then it was definitely the type of movie that could have used a bit more work to make sure that it wasn’t just one big digital program made to look like an epic movie. The soundtrack wasn’t too bad though considering that it was mostly instrumental throughout the movie the music really controlled the pace and tried to keep up with the differing scenes as they came along.
Here are some of the best bits of music from the movie.
5. The World Needs Superman
The thing about losing Superman in Batman vs. Superman was that everyone knew he was coming back eventually, we just didn’t know how exactly. But given that Lex Luthor used the same location and a slightly different method to alter and bring forth Doomsday it does seem as though it would be feasible. But then again this would mean that Kryptonian bodies don’t decay at the same rate as humans and therefore are kept intact. Not to mention the fact that the wound that killed him was already healed and therefore allowed the effort the league made to work. But hey, movie magic.
4. Justice League United
Perhaps one gripe out of many that would make sense to bring up is that Steppenwolf was seen to be powerful enough to take on the Amazons without any trouble. Yes he had his parademons but they were so easily taken out that the focus could have still been on him entirely. He even smacked a few of the Justice League members around pretty handily. But the moment Superman enters the fray he becomes almost helpless as his parademons aren’t enough to back him up and his axe and his strength aren’t even close to enough to take on Superman. For someone that was able to take down warriors of legend he turned into just another bad guy pretty quick.
3. Heroes Theme
The argument that all of DC’s heroes are simply too powerful or too much of one thing or another isn’t an empty one but it’s also one that can be made for a lot of other heroes from other comics. In DC it seems rather pronounced since increased durability seems to be standard, as does peak to abnormal strength, endurance, intelligence, and other attributes that set the heroes far apart from others. In other words it’s hard to relate to them as people since they all seem to be unreal in a sense that they can’t be wounded. But honestly in the movies that have come out lately it seems that the heroes are finally starting to be shown as capable of being damaged now and again, in more than one way.
2. Then There Were Three
The Justice League is one of the oldest superhero groups in comic history and as such their appearance recently is something that people have really been wanting to see. It’d be interesting if a crossover ever happened and the DC and MCU were set against one another, but you can almost bet just who would be written in to win simply because of their track record and the fact that they have more meta-humans than other groups. But you can be sure that it would be an interesting fight since, if given proper planning, there are at least a couple of heroes that would be able to turn the tide for their respective groups.
1. Everybody Knows
The beginning of this movie is a very somber one since the idea that Superman is gone and there is a very real sense of emptiness in the world is felt by just about everyone. Despite this there is the feeling that something is on its way and the earth has no idea what it is or what it’s going to do with it when it hits. But apart from that revelation the movie is something that a lot of people were looking forward to, but turned out to be kind of dark and depressing for a while until it finally got to the moment when it was supposed to be uplifting. More or less, Justice League had a lot of expectations laid on it that might have been better if people had gone in expecting nothing.
Then they might have found that it was actually a fun movie.
