There doesn’t seem to be a lot of hope that Meghan Markle will ever be coming back to Suits. It’s not so much that she doesn’t want to come back, as some people would surmise, but instead that she’s under too many obligations as she is now a part of the royal family and therefore has a rather busy schedule that doesn’t allow for such a thing. On top of this is the idea that the royal family likely wouldn’t approve since she’s even had to delete all of her social media accounts upon marrying into the family. As much as people really liked the character of Rachel Zane it would almost seem that even a 2-minute segment wouldn’t be possible since as anyone in the business knows just getting her here would be a chore and then for 2 minutes worth of filming it might take a great deal of money as well as time to get everything right.
Here are a few reasons why she should be on the show again.
5. It could promote an era of change when in US/UK relations.
You could say that the relations between the two nations are strained but not that bad at times but this seems like it might go a ways towards showing and telling people that the royals, for all their pomp, are still people that are capable of making their own choices. That doesn’t seem likely to happen but it would certainly be nice to recognize them as individual people rather than a hierarchy that needs approval to do anything that isn’t a matter of national interest. Whether they would see it this way seems kind of doubtful but it’s still an entertaining thought to have since in truth they are just people no matter their station.
4. The character of Rachel Zane could be given a proper sendoff.
It might be that a lot of people thought she already got a good enough end to her arc but it might be fitting to finally show her in a manner that might be seen as something that doesn’t need an explanation or any further discussion. That’s wishful thinking to be honest since many people want a definitive ending to a character arc no matter that some shows tend to make it rather clear what happens to them, or at least obvious enough that it doesn’t warrant going on and on and on until the day they pass away. If nothing else it would allow her character to finally be put to rest without as many questions that people might have.
3. Any salary that she accepts could be donated to charities.
Obviously Meghan doesn’t need the money that an appearance would bring her as she’s part of the royal family now. But anything she did pull down could just as easily go to a charity of her choice as this seems to be the thing for those with means to do. Not only would it show that she has the kind of heart that really cares for others in a big way but it would also kill 2 birds with one stone by bringing her back if only for a short time and doing a bit of good in the process. This would be something that many people would love to see and hear about since quite honestly people expect a lot out of celebrities and they would no doubt respond quite well to such a thing.
2. Her reputation as a duchess would allow the show a greater degree of marketability.
This doesn’t seem quite as positive but it does seem to be a line of thought that a lot of people would gladly walk down since quite honestly how many shows can possibly say that they’ve had royalty on their set? It would be more of a marketing ploy that would be kind of sketchy to some since it would be banking heavily on her royal status and not much else. But if it could do the show any good it would definitely be an option it would seem, especially since in the world of show business you can easily guess that status and reputation is something that many people are looking at constantly.
1. The fans really want her back.
This is probably bound to be the least convincing of reasons why she should come back, but it’s also one that you would think that anyone would listen to at least even if they did nothing about it. After all the fans are those that make the shows worth making in the first place, and they’re the ones determine just how popular the shows become. If not for the fans entertainment wouldn’t be such a lucrative industry, and might have gone bankrupt a long time ago.
While it’s not entirely possible, it does seem that many people would love to see her back.
