Days of Our Lives fans are watching right now as Eli and Lani bond. Well, they’ve done some serious bonding in the past, but they are really bonding now. It’s not in the bedroom, either. They are both upset and sad about their fact that their relationships ended, and they are bonding over that. May we take one moment here to point out that they are the reason their relationships broke up? They are looking for solace in one another now that they are both single, but they seem to have forgotten that they are both single since they slept together when they were with other people.
And now Lani is pregnant with Eli’s baby, so we aren’t exactly surprised to see them bonding with one another. They’re actually having a baby. That’s a big bond. We hope they bond, but we also hoped they’d bond for another reason. It’s a little less “Let’s bond because we are about to spend the rest of our lives connected to one another because we created a human together,” and more, “Poor us. We are single. Boo hoo,” with them. It’s interesting, and we think they’re both a little selfish and self-involved, to be quite frank.
But, let them bond. They don’t have anyone else right now, and we do find it difficult to relate to either of them. Eli broke up with Gabi once already because she was friendly with Chad, and then they got back together and he slept with Lani and got her pregnant, lied about it, and tried to pretend it didn’t happen. Um, what? And then there is Lani who makes it her life goal to never lie or do anything against her own moral compass, yet cheating on the man who needs her more than anyone in the world at his lowest point, getting pregnant, and then lying to him about being the father of her baby is fine? Like we said earlier, we have a hard time relating to either Lani or Eli at this point in time. So we think they should bond with one another.
