If you haven’t seen Ready Player One yet, you might want to be careful about watching this video. There sure are a lot of spoilers in the video made by Mr. Sunday Movies, but even with that, it’s still such a treat to watch–even if it were just to get you excited about the film. When Ernest Cline published Ready Player One, it became an instant favorite among the Gen-X readers because of all the 80s references and video game references as well. So we knew that when Warner Bros. bought the movie rights to the book, we were looking forward to a film that will be full of Easter eggs.
Some people claim that there are over 130 Easter eggs in the movie alone. That’s not counting all the other references and cameos. This video categorizes everything that was in the film, but even Mr. Sunday Movies didn’t get them all. We’ve seen the film a few times already, and some of the ones he’s listed were completely new to us. It might take more than a few times before we can find every single detail that was pointed out in the video, and we’d still be doubtful if that’s everything that needs to be seen in Ready Player One.
If you’ve already seen the movie, take on the challenge and watch this video to see if you can even remember where all these Easter eggs, references, and cameos appeared in the film. Just a note, it’ll take you a while to get them all figured out. But the bigger challenge for you will be to see if you can find an Easter egg not mentioned in the video by Mr. Sunday Movies. Again, this will take you forever. It’s a good thing that Ready Player One is one of the best films that’s come out this year so far.
