“Player One” may have had some mixed reviews, but the viewers who didn’t like it are mostly people who are fans of the book. Audiences that hadn’t previously read the book give it much higher ratings. Regardless of which side of the fence you’re on, the amazing CGI effects are nothing short of brilliant. Not everyone who read the book was disappointed with the film, but there were quite a few who voiced their opinions about the departures from what they imagined the film should be like.
Could this video bring the two camps together?
This GUNSHIP music video features some really cool visuals, and although it doesn’t have anything at all to do with the movie, it’s a tribute to the book that the film is based upon. It’s possible that the video could be the one thing that will help to bridge the gap between the two. The animated music video by GUNSHIP combines elements of the original Ernest Cline book and the new film together for a perspective that is appealing to both sides of the “Ready Player One” camp with its synthwave harmony.
