General Hospital fans know it’s going to be difficult for Alexis to believe that Ned had nothing to do with what just happened to her. She’s been blindsided at the most crucial and most important part of her life and this election, and we know there is not a chance in the world she feels that this is not going to be a work of his. He wants to win the election, and he is feeling good that he will now that this unflattering news story has come out about her. The truth, however, is that he really had nothing to do with it. He didn’t know that this was happening, and he maintains it wasn’t him.
She doesn’t believe that. And the fact that the entire story has everything to do with how she got Julian out of jail and how it might not have been entirely legal and she’s just someone who takes advantage of lies and the law is only going to hurt her case. She’s upset, and she’s not going to find this is something she can control at this point.
Ned, on the other hand, is feeling like it’s his lucky day this story came out when it did. How fortunate for him to find out that his competition is being taken down a notch by someone else when he was the most in need of this information. He is not responsible — so he says — but he is certain he is going to benefit most from this.
