Some parts of her life are unquestionably common, just like most people that watch the show, and other parts are rather unique. 1. She ended up on the missing persons list
As opposed to being most famous for being a contestant on The Bachelor, she has instead become most famous becoming an official missing person. She claims that she did not do it intentionally, but that instead she wanted to spend some time alone after she was eliminated from the show. She had promised her mother that she would be in contact by telephone and then ended up in a mountainous area that had no phone service to be had. Despite that fact, she went ahead and spent the better part of a week there before driving to a location where she could telephone her mother and let her know that she was okay. By that time, her mom had already reported her as a missing person and the sheriff’s office was actively searching for her.
2. She works as a nanny
Before she went on The Bachelor, Martinez worked as a nanny in the Los Angeles area. According to recent comments, she has gone back to doing that same job after leaving the show. While she doesn’t comment on her personal life all that much, she must enjoy this line of work in order to choose to go back to it in the first place.
3. Her friends cultivate marijuana for a living
She has some close friends that actually operate a marijuana farm, something that she has at least toyed with participating in. While she claims that she hasn’t actually worked on the farm, she does admit that she has at least considered the idea of helping them out for a week or two. It is important to know that the location of the farm makes the cultivation of marijuana there completely legal, so there is really nothing scandalous to report here. It is merely an interesting fact and it’s something that makes her stand out from her peers, especially when you consider that her regular day job involves her being a nanny.
4. She’s been a fan of The Bachelor for years
Basically, Martinez has been a fan of the show since it started. During that time, she became so enamoured with the show itself that she used to tell everyone she knew that sooner or later, she was going to be featured on it. Sure enough, she managed to make the dream a reality and eventually became a contestant on the show that she had spent so much time watching over the years.
5. She was never in love with Arie
Despite the fact that she was competing for love was Arie on The Bachelor, she now admits that she was never in love with him to start with. She even goes as far as saying that she didn’t even want Arie to be on the show. Instead, she was hoping Peter Kraus would end up being her love interest. When this didn’t happen, she still wanted to be on the show and was actually devastated when she was eliminated.
