Monica Raymund isn’t exactly new to the TV scene since she started acting back in 2004 and has been a regular TV star ever since. Her roles have almost always been involved in some sort of show about law enforcement which shows that she is something of a niche actor, which is pretty much common among many actors but still begs for a little more development. It could be however that Monica is where she wants to be and doesn’t plan on moving out of her cozy little spot, which has so far been treating her very well. There are moments when actors simply don’t want to leave their comfortable roles and branch out, and it’s just as respectable as any other decision that has to do with a career since it is a safe and reliable thing to do.
Her are a few other things you might want to know about her.
5. She is a big supporter of the LGBTQ community.
Monica is one of the many that fully throws her support behind the LGBTQ community and makes the effort to show it on a regular basis. This is a rather important issue after all that actors from all walks can help by using their influence and their social platforms to increase awareness of the community and what can be done to keep pushing for equality and the understanding that the LGBTQ community simply wants to be treated like anyone else.
4. She came out as bisexual via Twitter.
One big reason that she’s into helping out and pushing forth her support towards the LGBTQ community is that she is in fact bisexual. As such the issues and concerns that affect this community are very much her concerns as well. She decided to come out via Twitter in order to reach a much larger number of people, which is a guarantee since so many individuals are on Twitter these days.
3. She’s a graduate of the Julliard School.
Simply going to Julliard is impressive enough, but graduating and with good marks is even more so. Many great artists from different walks of life have passed through those halls and been changed or have in some way effected change after their tenure. Monica no doubt learned a great deal from Julliard, and has likely been using her lessons well throughout her career.
2. She’s been involved primarily in TV shows.
As I said above this might just be her niche, her comfort zone, and no one could possibly blame her for wanting to stick right where she’s doing the best. She’s been in a few movies, two full length and three short, but at the moment it would seem that she’s doing great where she’s at in TV.
1. She’s produced and directed a couple of films and a short film that should be coming out eventually.
I’m kind of convinced at this point that this is the natural progression for an actor. They either become producers, directors, or some other high-level executive that takes charge and becomes the bigwig after a while. At the very least it’s an impressive step forward.
Monica Raymund is thus far an impressive young woman, and we should likely expect more from her in the future.
