At This Point, Shouldn’t Celebrities Know Better About What to Put on Their Phones?

Sigh. You hear all the time about celebrities going to this college, or that university, earning this degree or that degree, but none of them ever seem to get any smarter. If so we wouldn’t have stories like of hacked photos of naked celebrities. Right. You would think that celebrities would know better by now than to put these kind of images on a device that might immediately upload it to the Cloud or download it to a social media site. Oh wait, what’s that? You have to actually download it yourself? Well golly, that makes things so much worse.

If you’re a celebrity and are suffering a nude photo hack then there is one thing that your fans and anyone else should be able to tell you with great confidence. STOP TAKING NAKED PICTURES AND VIDEOS ON YOUR PHONE. There, not so hard, right? It’s actually pretty easy to prevent if you don’t want people seeing your naked body. But then, oh yes there’s more, let’s take it another length and instruct the celebrities to STOP DOWNLOADING YOUR NAKED PICS AND VIDEOS TO SOCIAL MEDIA AND OTHER LOCATIONS. Wow that’s fun, even if the celebs refuse to care, listen, or get even a little bit smarter about the subject it’s kind of fun to watch them squirm just a little when they try to lawyer up and bash websites for their mistake.

And it is, THEIR mistake, no one else’s.

There’s no one invading their homes or hotel rooms to take these pictures and/or videos of them so in reality they have no one to blame bu themselves. Some fans are oblivious enough to think that the celebrities are actually the victims, but these blinded sycophants tend to want to believe anything that favors their cherished stars rather than admit that celebrities are essentially human and are just as capable of making “mistakes” as the average person. The difference is if the average person was to find their photo on a random site or well-known website there’s a chance they might be flattered or horrified. With a celebrity the expected reaction is outrage and so far none of them have disappointed.

But really honestly truly without equivocation it is not the fault of the sites that somehow got a hold of the pictures, it’s the fault of the celebrities who took them and were so utterly careless with them. Hackers can’t use the camera function on your phones people, at least not yet. If they could then there’s something other than hacking going on and we might need a young priest and an old priest instead of a team of lawyers.

You see how funny this is, right? The invasion of privacy, the supposed “leak” that allows hackers to steal this kind of thing. If the hackers were smarter they’d be stealing bank account information and draining the celebrities dry. But no, no they have to go and steal naked pictures that half of the country doesn’t give a rip about. You know, that kind of puts the whole idea of their pictures being “hacked” into a new perspective.

Think what you will of that point.
