Young and the Restless fans know Cane is not happy with Juliet right now. She started this mess he’s in, and he made it worse by lying. He’s still not sure what happened actually happened, and he wants some serious answers right now. Will he get the answers he wants and needs? We don’t know that he will, but we do know he’s demanding to find out what she’s up to and what is going on in his own life right now. He’s not happy with the choices he’s made, and he’s got to find a way to fix his life.
He’s also got his job to worry about. Victoria is fighting him at every angle, and she’s straight up told him he needs to leave the job and take care of his family. He wants to work, and he wants to fight for his job. She basically told him no, that they don’t need him and he needs to get his priorities in order. It’s been a devastating few weeks for him, and the loss of his job is only making it worse.
Cane wants a paternity test, and that’s all he is going to find worth his time at the moment. He’s not focusing on his wife or his kids. He’s focusing on the fact that Juliet’s unborn baby could be someone else’s. His hope is that it’s someone else’s and he will never face the responsibility of being the father of her child. He’s hoping that finding out the baby belongs to someone else will save everything else in his life — which is big.
