I’m sincerely hoping this becomes a very regular segment on The Late Show. Neil deGrasse Tyson has a great ability to shoot down just about anything that can’t be explained by science, so it’s no surprise that if he’s going to see a sci-fi movie he’ll be quick to point out all the miscalculations and mistakes the movies made. Stephen Colbert decided to have Tyson on his show to completely smother some of the films we’re all looking forward to seeing.
In the video below you can watch America’s favorite astrophysicist take a look at the somewhat-questionable science behind big summer movies like ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2” and “Alien: Covenant.’ Needless to say these movies aren’t exactly big on following science or facts for that matter. Understandable but kind of funny when a genius like deGrasse Tyson puts his criticisms on them.
