I’ve already gone on my rants about Disney Princesses and the gigantic world of reimagining them as other popular figures. It’s a subculture that will never go away and frankly I’m 100% fine with that. It would appear that recently a new vertical within the vertical has been established. What if you photoshopped Disney princesses into paparazzi and other celebrity types of pictures? That’s exactly what Andhika Muksin is doing on his Instagram account. He’s managed to pick up quite a few followers in the process.
Muksin told Buzzfeed that his Photoshop edits were made “mainly for fun,” but reflect his imagined inner characters of Disney princesses. “I started to see them from a more complex point of view,” he said. “Then ideas started popping in my head – like Aurora (the Sleeping Beauty) is such a graceful and reserved character, but I bet she’d lose it a bit at Coachella.”
