Fox and Friends Spring Cleaning Tips Couldn’t Be More Sexist

To all you ladies and men out there who are about to get into the spring cleaning swing of things, I have a question to ask of both of you.  For all the women out there, when you are thinking about all the spring cleaning you have to do, do you imagine yourself cleaning while wearing a tight dress, being completely made up, and wearing heels?  No, I didn’t think so.  Men, while you’re out there cleaning up all of the remnants of winter, are you doing this while wearing a suit, tie, and super uncomfortable dress shoes?  Didn’t think so either.

But Fox and Friends put on a nice display of gender inequality with their annual “Spring Cleaning Hacks” where a lifestyle expert came onto the show to share her tips.   The clip features a little exchange between Clayton Morris and his co-host, Abby Huntsman, who was blessed with the task of educating viewers about a series of fun “cleaning hacks” while wearing a dress.  The clip also features the song Yakety Yak as the music introducing the segment.   Here’s what happens next:

“Guys, I know you are thrilled about all of these,” Huntsman says at the 2:11 mark. “I’m excited to watch you do it,” Morris quipped.

I just had to point this out.
